Humidifier repair and installation

Staying comfortable in your home starts with a dependable humidifier that helps you breathe easier. A space full of dry air causes health issues and discomfort, but a solution is fast and affordable humidifier installation. The team at DiMax can help you breathe better in no time with a humidifier and can handle any indoor air quality concerns.

Whole-house humidifiers are designed to work alongside your heat pump or furnace. We will install your humidifier near your existing heating equipment and connect it to your central duct system, allowing warm moist air to enter your home through the supply air vents.

To enjoy a comfortable home environment without inviting mold, your indoor humidity level should rest between 30 and 60 percent. After your humidifier is installed, try to experiment with various humidity settings until you find one that works for you and the rest of your household.

What Is a Humidifier?

A humidifier distributes moisture into an area and helps combat severely dry air. Contractors often use a saddle valve to install a humidifier, while others may use a solenoid valve. It all depends on what kind of humidifier they install and for what purpose.

Cutting a hole from the template is one of the first steps a contractor takes for whole-house humidifier installation.

It is acceptable to put cold water in some humidifiers, but not all of them. Your service technician will discuss your specific type of humidifier, model, and care tips after installation to increase its lifespan.

Types of humidifiers

Bypass humidifier is connected to the return of your furnace or air handler. It does not have a motor of its own and instead relies on the blower motor of the furnace to push warm air through it. The warm air is then pushed through the water panel that is within the humidifier and absorbs moisture from it.

Steam humidifiers are as much as 90% more efficient in water use. These units monitor your homes, moisture level and adds moisture to the air when necessary as opposed to running constantly. The water is heated in the reservoir and then released steam into your central air ducts.

Fan powered humidifiers push the air into the unit faster which means they can produce more moisture and faster. They humidify your home faster than a bypass system. They are more water efficient and they don’t need the furnace to run in order to use them. Fan powered humidifiers are also great for smaller spaces.
